Here is a Simple Fat Loss Plan to Get you Started
By Alexis Mills
If you are starting your journey to lose weight and extra fat, then congratulations! It's a great step to show up for yourself and start the journey to live a healthier life. In order to make this something that lasts, it's important to start with something simple and manageable and work from there.
Drink Water
Staying hydrated and drinking enough water every day is the simplest thing to slim down and maintain a healthy weight. Water gives you more energy so that you can work out longer and it speeds up your metabolism.
Keep Tempting Foods Out of the House
When you first start trying to be healthier, it's important to eliminate the tempting food from your pantry and refrigerator. You will already be tempted when you are out and about, so it's important to make your home a place filled with healthy foods.
Limit Snacking
When you snack continuously, you are bringing in a lot of extra calories into your diet. If you are going to snack between meals, make sure you keep down the portion size and that it is something healthy. If you are going to snack, you want it to fuel your body instead of adding extra empty calories.
Stop Drinking Your Calories
Drinking high sugar and calorie drinks don't actually fill you up, so they are empty calories to your diet. Swapping these drinks with water, tea, or coffee will drastically help you lose weight. Sodas and some fruit juices are a quick way to get your blood sugar out of control and gain weight quickly.
Switch to Low-Calorie Sauces
The sauces you use to cook with, dip into, and toss, will all add extra flavor to what you are eating. While you are trying to lose weight, make sure you know what is in the sauces you are using and that they aren't too filled with sugar or high in calories. Making small changes like this into your daily life will make significant differences.
Never Miss a Healthy Meal Twice
When you are trying to transition to eat healthier, it's important to not consistently cheat to keep you on track, even on weekends. It's OK to occasionally eat something unhealthy, but it's important to not get in that mindset and stay as much on track as you can, especially when you are starting out.
If you decide to change your diet and lifestyle to lose some extra weight, remember to be easy on yourself and have fun with the process. You are better off taking care of yourself and your body and that is something to be proud of.
