How to Eat More and Still Lose Weight
By Genevieve Cunningham
If you have the goal of losing weight, you are definitely not alone. The desire to drop a few pounds is a common one. So many of us carry around a little bit of extra weight, and it really wouldn't hurt our feelings to get rid of it. Unfortunately, losing weight is often really difficult. But what if you could actually eat more food and still lose weight? Would it be easier? Would you be more likely to follow through? If you're interested in getting in the best health of your life, take a look at these ways that you can eat more and still lose pounds for better health overall.
Change Your Foods
The easiest way to eat more and still lose is to change the foods that you're eating. If your diet is filled with fried fatty foods, then you can't eat very much before you've met your caloric goal for the day. Instead, trade the fried chicken for a healthy salad. Or skip the bacon and choose a side of tomatoes with your breakfast. You can eat so much more of these healthy foods. And since you can eat more, you'll still feel full, but you'll be gaining so much nutritional goodness at the same time.
Assess Nutritional Content
One of the first steps to changing the foods that you eat is to understand the nutritional content. Do some research so that you can learn what each food in your diet offers to your body. Learn which foods offer which minerals and vitamins. Learn which foods offer nothing at all. Once you begin to understand and assess the nutritional content in your foods, making healthy choices becomes a lot easier.
Eliminate Empty Calories
If you want to be able to eat more without gaining more weight, you have to let go of all of the empty calories in your life. Empty calories come from food or drink that provides zero nutrition, yet still count against your total caloric intake for the day. This might include things such as soda, candy, chips, and other types of junk food. It might take some willpower, but eliminating these foods from your life will make a huge difference in your weight and the way that you feel on a daily basis.
Losing weight may be a difficult process, but it's definitely something that you can achieve. Use these tips to change what you eat, how much you eat, and lose the pesky weight for good. With a little push in the right direction, you can look and feel your best in no time at all.
