Plainness in Meals Could Use Some Help
By Tom Herrin
It is pretty easy to get into a rut with meals. For many years, some people preferred to have them look about the same. If they saw something white, such as potatoes or rice or maybe gravy, they felt it may be complete if it had some bread, also white, and meat. For years, a lot of people saw this at every meal. Fortunately for all, more people have discovered what a few knew all along. A variety of colors may be a key to having a nutritious meal. It doesn't even require any kind of great knowledge, one only needs an eye for beauty.
Orange and Yellow May Remind of Sunshine and Good Health
It is pretty much a common notion that some fruits and vegetables can put people on the right track for their health. Having orange juice with breakfast has always been a traditional beverage for many. They often feel that it can start their day off well and keep away some minor problems. Apparently some of their properties can help to avoid some kinds of heart disease by supporting good circulation. Their levels of some vitamins are also well known. Some of these foods are papayas, sweet potatoes, squash, cantaloupe, and quite a few others.
Red Foods Always Brighten a Meal
Tomatoes are a choice in foods that seems to somehow set them apart. What would spaghetti be without some tomato sauce? They are also good in salads as well as lots of other foods. The red fruits and vegetables are believed to have some things that can help to discourage some cancers such as prostate and esophageal. They really add something different to meals and make them appealing to the eye. A few more of these foods are strawberries, beets, red peppers, cherries, and a few other good-tasting foods.
Become an Artist When It Comes to Meals
It can be fun to see what you can do with a meal to make it more attractive. I have come to realize that I look forward to a meal with a variety of colors as it can make me feel a little bit happier. Creating these can be enjoyable for the whole family. It can be a challenge for everyone to make a contribution. There is no guarantee that those meals will cure the mange, but they sure can offer a lot more than those bland meals without any of that color and look pretty good at the same time.
