Meet The Doctors

Dr. Clint Morrow, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Columbia

Dr. Morrow’s path to chiropractic care was different from most. He knew he wanted a career in healthcare but wanted his patients to be excited about their visits, not dreading them. Becoming an MD didn’t feel like the right fit, but after seeing how much people loved visiting his friends’ fathers—both chiropractors—he knew he had found his calling.

At The Joint Chiropractic, Dr. Morrow tailors each patient’s treatment plan based on their exam findings and personal goals. With over 24 years in practice, he has helped countless patients achieve life-changing results. Some of his most memorable cases include two high school athletes whose doctors told them their seasons were over—only for them to return to competition within weeks after treatment. Another unforgettable success story involved a woman who had suffered from chronic low back pain for years. After a few months of care, not only was her pain gone, but she also discovered she was pregnant—something she and her husband had been told was impossible.

He advises first-time chiropractic patients to ask questions, communicate their goals, and ensure they understand their condition and treatment plan. He also reminds them that long-standing issues take time to correct—healing doesn’t happen in just one visit.

Originally from Marshall, Missouri, Dr. Morrow attended the University of Missouri before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic. His career began in Arizona, where he worked for a personal injury group treating auto and work-related injuries, eventually becoming the clinic director of the Tempe office. In 2006, he moved to Colorado, where he owned and operated Morrow Chiropractic for 16 years. While selling his practice was difficult, he felt it was time to return home. In 2022, he moved to Columbia to be closer to family and became the clinic director at The Joint Chiropractic. He has loved every moment of it, treating a growing number of amazing patients.

Dr. Morrow has faced many of the same challenges as other chiropractors—skepticism about the profession, insurance reimbursement struggles, and the occasional case where a patient doesn't respond to care. But he approaches every case with 100% effort and passion, knowing he’s making a difference. In 2007, he became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician to better serve his athletic patients. Looking ahead, he hopes to continue helping as many people as possible while mentoring young chiropractors to be the best in the field.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Morrow enjoys all things outdoors, from hunting and fishing to farm life. A fun fact about him—he’s a Clash of Clans enthusiast and was once ranked #10 in the world!

Dr. Riley’s path to chiropractic care was deeply personal. When his mother was a freshman in high school, she suffered a car accident that left her with a broken back, resulting in chronic pain for much of her life. However, in 2019, she found significant relief through chiropractic care. Witnessing the dramatic improvement in her quality of life opened Dr. Riley’s eyes to a career where he could help others experience the same transformation.

As a chiropractor, Dr. Riley believes in meeting patients where they are in their health journey. He recognizes that every individual has unique needs, goals, and comfort levels, so he takes the time to understand their concerns, lifestyle, and pain levels before crafting a treatment plan. One of his most memorable patient experiences involved treating a man with lumbar stenosis who initially felt discouraged by his progress. After stepping away from care, the patient realized just how much better he had felt during treatment and returned with a renewed commitment. This experience reinforced for Dr. Riley the importance of patient education and long-term chiropractic care in pain management and function.

Dr. Riley earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University. From a young age, he knew he wanted a career in the medical field, inspired in part by watching and rewatching shows like Scrubs and House. His early work experiences helped him develop strong communication and interpersonal skills. These roles taught him how to build trust, listen to people's needs, and recognize that everyone carries unseen struggles. Now, as a chiropractor, he applies those same skills to create a supportive and understanding environment for his patients.

Dr. Riley’s overarching goal is simple, to help people feel like themselves again. Whether that means relieving pain, restoring mobility, or making daily activities more comfortable, he finds fulfillment in empowering his patients to live their best lives.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Riley enjoys reading, writing, and staying active. He loves spending time outdoors, whether it’s walking his pug or playing pickleball with his wife. Dr. Riley finds inspiration in two powerful quotes. James Clear’s “Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become” reminds him of the importance of intentional decision-making. Meanwhile, Brandon Sanderson’s “The most important step a person can take is always the next one” serves as a reminder that progress is about persistence, not perfection. These philosophies guide him both personally and professionally as he continues to grow in his chiropractic journey.

Dr. Cara Wilfong, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Columbia

Dr. Cara’s journey into chiropractic care began with a deep desire to help people in a meaningful and hands-on way. During a gap year after her undergraduate studies, she worked in a dialysis clinic at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. That experience was both eye-opening and heartbreaking, as she witnessed firsthand the struggles of chronically ill patients and the devastating toll of the pandemic. While she knew she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare, she also realized she wanted to take a more holistic approach—one that focused on healing and improving quality of life without solely relying on medication. That’s when she discovered chiropractic care and instantly fell in love with the field.

Dr. Cara believes that every body is unique, and therefore, every treatment plan should be tailored to the individual. She works closely with her patients to understand their specific needs and goals, creating a personalized approach that helps them achieve optimal function and well-being. She also incorporates Active Release Technique (ART), a specialized muscle release method that works in tandem with chiropractic adjustments to help relax and restore muscle function.

She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University, where she deepened her understanding of the body’s natural ability to heal. She is passionate about community education, Dr. Cara is dedicated to spreading awareness about the benefits of chiropractic care. Her goal is to help more people understand how chiropractic treatments can enhance their health and daily lives. As a proud Columbia townie, she loves serving the people in her hometown and making a difference in their well-being.

Outside of work, Dr. Cara enjoys running and reading. Some of her favorite books include Breath by James Nestor and Born to Run by Christopher McDougall—both of which align with her passion for movement, endurance, and holistic health.

Dr. Alex has always been passionate about holistic health, believing that true healing comes from addressing the whole person rather than just isolated symptoms. Chiropractic care perfectly aligns with this philosophy, which led Dr. Alex to pursue a career that takes a comprehensive, patient-centered approach. This mindset shapes every aspect of care, ensuring that each patient’s lifestyle, goals, and overall well-being are considered alongside their physical symptoms.

With a strong commitment to personalized treatment, Dr. Alex meets each patient where they are in their health journey, helping them achieve both short- and long-term goals. Whether it’s improving mobility, reducing pain, or enhancing overall function, Dr. Alex prioritizes a holistic approach that empowers patients to take an active role in their healing and well-being.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of Dr. Alex’s practice is witnessing everyday success stories—whether it’s a patient who can finally walk longer without discomfort or a grandparent who can get on the floor to play with their grandchild. These seemingly small victories add up to meaningful improvements in a person’s quality of life, and Dr. Alex celebrates each one.

To stay at the forefront of chiropractic care, Dr. Alex regularly engages in continuing education through seminars, workshops, and research platforms like Chiro Up. Collaboration with peers and patient feedback also play a crucial role in refining treatment approaches and ensuring the best possible care.

Dr. Alex’s expertise extends to specialized areas such as pelvic floor rehabilitation (certified through the Institute of Clinical Excellence) and Birthfit coaching, reflecting a deep passion for women’s health—an often underserved area of care. By providing support in these crucial aspects of well-being, Dr. Alex is dedicated to empowering women to achieve optimal health.

Looking ahead, Dr. Alex hopes to increase public awareness of the broad benefits of chiropractic care, particularly in preventive health and holistic treatment. Many people don’t realize that chiropractic care extends beyond back pain, and Dr. Alex is passionate about educating patients on its far-reaching impact on overall wellness.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Alex enjoys reading, exploring local coffee shops, staying active at the gym, and soaking up the sunshine whenever possible. A favorite quote that reflects Dr. Alex’s philosophy is:

"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease." – Thomas Jefferson

A recent book that has had a profound impact on Dr. Alex is Good Energy by Casey Means, MD, which delves into the connection between health, energy, and lifestyle choices.
