Dr. Parlier received his Bachelors of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland and graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University.
Introduced to chiropractic over 20 years ago, Dr. Parlier knows the benefits of chiropractic care first hand. He spent his youth riding horses and working on a farm. Along with many falls, as well as the inherent stresses on his body that went with riding, his back and knees were constantly in pain. At the age of 25, he went to work for an equine chiropractor in Maryland. One day, that Chiropractor noticed Dr. John limping and regularly complaining about his back pain. She adjusted him several times over a week at the barn, and his pains started to go away. After that, he continued with regular care at her office.
Dr. Parlier is known and respected for the thorough and comprehensive examination and diagnosis that he provides to each patient.
In his spare time, Dr Parlier enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and his 4 children and their weiner dog, Titus.
Dr. Ryan Paramo, DC was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology. Dr. Paramo then received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was an active member in chiropractic neurology and sports rehabilitation. Dr. Paramo practiced in Denver, Colorado specializing in auto accident and personal injury recovery. He mainly treated whiplash, low back pain and migraines with manual manipulations, cold laser, all-natural supplements and acupuncture.
Dr. Paramo believes that routine chiropractic care allows anyone regardless of limitations to achieve their optimum health goals and live their best life by having a proper functioning nervous system. Dr. Paramo joined The Joint team in Atlanta December 2018 to accomplish these goals with you.
Dr. Paramo enjoys lifting weights and playing basketball at LA fitness. He likes to talk sports and complain about his Detroit teams. Dr. Paramo and his fiancé Claire enjoy exploring Atlanta and bike riding around the city. He loves cooking, reading and playing with his two dogs Jango and Mowgli. Dr. Paramo is a huge fan of coffee and must have one every morning. Dr. Paramo being a huge fan of sports would be honored to be in the presence of Kobe Bryant, Barry Sanders, John Beilein and the legendary Dan Patrick for an ultimate dinner party. The most rewarding thing he has done is travel to El Salvador and provide chiropractic care to an underprivileged community that do not have access to traditional medicine or any alternative form of health care.
Dr. Paramo believes in chiropractic care because it helped him recover from a gruesome hit in high school that almost ended his high school and college lacrosse career. With the aid of chiropractic, he was able to avoid long term chronic issues and it inspired him to pursue down the career path that helped him the most over what traditional medicine could not offer.

Dr. Jeremy Martin received his doctorate in chiropractic at Life University and a bachelor’s degree in general studies from Excelsior College.
“The thing that’s best about being in the chiropractic field is helping patients reach their full potential,” he says. “I love helping children and adults avoid dangerous medications and surgery.”
Dr. Jeremy Martin became part of The Joint Chiropractic’s team of Chiropractors in 2020. He has worked at a few clinics in the area and has recently settled at The Joint Chiropractic in Gainesville.
He knew chiropractic could be his calling when he was a teenager. “I was a junior in high school and had a knee injury that doctors told me required surgery,” he says. “A friend of mine introduced me to chiropractic, and after seeing him, the knee got better and surgery was not needed. I met Dr. Sid Williams through a family friend and, after speaking with him at Life University, I was sold on becoming a chiropractor.”
He is happy to be serving patients at the Gainesville location. “I’m excited to be part of a team that helps serve our community in such a powerful way,” he says.
In Case You Didn’t Know
Dr. Martin says he always keeps protein drinks in his refrigerator: “I enjoy working out and it fuels my body properly.”
If he could bring together any four people from history for the dinner party of his dreams, he would bring together Jesus, President Abraham Lincoln, reggae icon Bob Marley, and entertainer Robin Williams. “I’d like to see what Lincoln did with the stress of holding a country together amidst turmoil,” he says. “I’d love to hear Marley sing in person, and Robin Williams tell some jokes. And who wouldn’t want to talk to Jesus?”
He says he loves being a parent and the best thing he has ever done was raise his two children. But the other coolest thing on his life’s resume, he says, is “I wrote and published two books, one on chronic pain and the other on ADHD.”
