Dr. Megan Esparza, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Rome

Dr. Megan Esparza joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2023 when she became part of the team at the Rome, GA clinic, she does the rewarding work of helping people in Rome as their local healthcare provider which she finds so rewarding!

“The best thing about working as a chiropractor is being able to help people get back to doing the things they love without pain or restriction,” she says. “Seeing people achieve health goals they once thought were impossible is the best part. When you see the positive effect chiropractic can have on your life and your loved ones, you understand the value of taking your health into your own hands”

Raised in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Dr. Megan’s mother is also a chiropractor so she grew up in the health business, and it was the only thing that ever made sense and wanted to do. As she says: “When the nervous system is free from interference, your body works better! It just makes sense!”.

Dr. Bobby Butler, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Rome

Dr. Butler graduated from Life University in 2002 and has practiced in his own clinic for 22 years before he joined our Rome team. Here, he worked with a variety of patients and specialized in athletics and extremities . Prior to his studies at Life University, he attended Gadsden State University, as well as Jacksonville University. Dr. Butler was raised in North East Alabama, in Fort Payne.

Dr. Butler became passionate about Chiropractic Practice when his daughter became diagnosed with epilepsy. “She started having seizures and we were told by the Doctors at the hospital that this was a normal occurrence for some children and would probably continue for the rest of her life. From that point, she would have problems about every two weeks and it looked like the seizures were not going away. After about three months, my wife was at the chiropractor when Jennifer, my daughter, started to have an episode. My wife’s chiropractor. adjusted my daughter and the seizures stopped. They never returned.”

Dr. Butler has had the time to refine the love of his career, “I believe our goal in life is to help others no matter what our chosen profession. I choose chiropractic to help people live their life to the fullest”. Dr. Butler loves patients of all walks of life. “I get to meet and help people from birth to their golden years,” he states. Dr. Butler works full time in our clinic in Rome and states that it has been fun for him. “Rome is a great place to meet new faces and to help people reach their health goals”.

A little about Dr. Butler is an avid lover of cookies, amongst other sweets. When asked about who he would like to have a famous dinner with and why, he responded with Einstein, Dr. D. D. Palmer, Dr. Sid Williams, Benjamin Franklin. He chose these people due to the stories and conversations, as they would interest him greatly.

Some of his hobbies include going to flea markets, gardening, antiquing, and reading. He cherishes time with his family, as he has two daughters and seven grandchildren with his childhood sweetheart Amy.

Dr. Paul Garnsey, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Rome

Dr. Paul Garnsey earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University in 1990. He is very excited to join our Rome team and be able to help our community to a better health.

Dr. Paul got interested in Chiropractic after a serious low back injury when Chiropractic care helped him far surpass his prognosis. Dr. Paul has a long career where he treated athletes during the Olympics and had patients from famous rock bands to NFL football players. He sat on the National Board for Chiropractic Examiners for five years. but his real passion is helping people get their lives back after injuries and helping people stay well through routine Chiropractic Care.

Dr. Paul’s faith and family are the most important thing to him. He and his wife Terri have a 24 year old son, Danny. He enjoys shooting sports and hunting in his spare time.

Dr. Josh Gurley, D.C. is a Chiropractor at Rome

Dr. Josh Gurley joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2024 when he became part of the team at the Rome, GA clinic. He is very excited to join our Rome team and be able to help our community to a better health.

After high school, he attended Georgia Southwestern State University and received a bachelor's degree in exercise science. During his time at Georgia Southwestern he served as president of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and was a member of the college choir receiving a full ride academic and music scholarship. Dr. Josh decided to pursue his passion for Chiropractic care at Life University and got his Doctorate of Chiropractic as well as a master's degree in sport health science in 2021. As part of his chiropractic education, Dr. Josh interned with the team chiropractor for the Atlanta Braves and Gwinett Stripers and also worked with highschool, college, and other professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, PGA, and many Ironman triathletes. Dr. Josh is currently serving as the team chiropractor for the Rome Emperors. He has the passion and love for helping people in Rome as their local healthcare provider which he finds so rewarding!

Dr. Josh lives in Cartersville with his wife Baileigh, son Beau, daughter Hattie and their 3 rescue dogs Penny Lane, Sargent Pepper, and Eleanor Rigby and a cat named Toona. In his spare time Dr. Josh enjoys kayaking, fishing, cooking with fire and smoke and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves.
