Dr. Katie Leonardis, D.C., grew up in small-town New Jersey right next to the Delaware Water Gap. She has some wonderful memories of her youth, hiking and exploring the outdoors. Now she lives in the greater Phoenix area and loves helping patients and community members embrace a better lifestyle.
Dr. Katie's relationship with chiropractic started during her college years at Penn State where she majored in Kinesiology and developed a love for biomechanics. She interned in several sports medicine offices before deciding that chiropractic was the profession she wanted to pursue.
She went on to earn her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University, where she was a part of the Sports Chiropractic Club and the Functional Neurology Club. She's also certified in the Webster technique—a specialty adjusting technique for pregnant patients.
Dr. Katie's favorite part of being a chiropractor is helping people realize their full potential. Her goal is to help all her patients reach their goals, whether it's a newborn baby with trouble nursing or an athlete trying to increase their performance.
In her spare time, Dr. Katie is an active volunteer for the Special Olympics. She loves helping people with special needs and local animal groups. She has a huge soft spot for animals, especially her two cats. Dr. Katie enjoys hiking, trying new foods, traveling and rooting for her favorite college football team, Penn State's Nittany Lions.
Growing up on a farm in Sonoma County, CA Dr. Hannah Sisson D.C. developed a deep appreciation for nature and hard work. From a young age, she enjoyed dancing ballet, which instilled in her a sense of joy and discipline. Her love for the outdoors led her to enjoy hiking and gardening. Family time was often spent in the kitchen, where she learned how to cook nutritious food, fostering a passion for healthy living.
After attending Northern Arizona University, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics, showcasing her strong foundation in the sciences. She then pursued her Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College West. During her time in chiropractic college, she focused on the Gonstead Method and extremity adjusting, honing her skills to provide precise and effective care.
Her favorite part of being a chiropractor is having the opportunity to help patients of all ages. She loves how chiropractic care empowers patients to live a life of wellness and ease, providing them with the tools and treatments they need to improve their overall health and quality of life.
In her spare time, she teaches yoga, goes hiking, and enjoys spending time with her cat and dog. These activities help her maintain a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle, combining physical activity with relaxation and companionship.
Dr. Michael Chan grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Mount Hood College. He later graduated from the University of Wester States in 1985. He says the best part about being in the chiropractic field is being able to help people and make a living at the same time!
When Dr. Michael is not working he enjoys traveling, watching sports, sleeping, playing golf, and shopping. One thing Dr. Michael must have in his fridge at all times is orange juice!
